Stage 3 Opening and launch

Passenger services between Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads commence from 9 August 2026.

Join us on Sunday 9 August 2026 to celebrate the opening of Stage 3 with an event for the community along the new light rail corridor.

Come and celebrate the start of passenger services with us between Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads as part of the open day.

The event starts at Broadbeach South station, with activity from 9am to 11am, then the festivities move to the Nobby Beach precinct from 12pm to 2pm, before finishing at Memorial Park in Burleigh Heads from 3pm to 5pm.

Giveaways, live music, face painting and balloon animals will all be part of the fun.
